The AudioReQuest F4.800, which sells for $7000 and has a swappable 500GB hard-drive (though not “hot-swappable”). That gives this four-zone player the capacity for storing approximately 800 CDs in non-compressed WAV format. The stereo quality of WAV files we evaluated was generally good in the mid and upper ranges. The AudioReQuest can be networked so that you can download music from a PC anywhere in your home or the world, for that matter. Overall, set-up was a breeze.
