The Musical Fidelity X Digital-to-Analog Converter^V3 gives your old CD player a new voice. The X-DAC features two digital audio inputs: one coaxial and one optical and it can be used with any player that has digital audio outputs. The faceplate has four monitor lights: one for power; two that indicate whether the coaxial or the optical digital input is active; and one that confirms that the X-DAC ^V3 has locked in on to the incoming digital audio signal. Together, the $1400 X-DAC^V3 and X-10^V3 combination can make the sound of an older (or an inexpensive) CD player competitive with that of players at several times the price.
